Appetite for Adventure! On Amazon Prime Video, Roku and Tubi

Hey guys! My show Appetite for Adventure! is now available on Amazon Prime Video, Roku,  Tubi and more.  This is very exciting news and is a bit of a relief. It’s taken a while for things to get moving again since my pescatarian travel themed show originally aired in 2016 on Z Living Network. Do you remember this “little channel that could”? It was on Dish Network, but eventually shut down its linear channel.

Prior to the network’s decline, my show was successful, meaning ratings were good and audience were responding positively to the episodes. This positive feedback gave me the momentum to start production on season 2. We kicked things off on a two-week tour of New Orleans and ended with a bang in Belize. Production wrapped at the end of 2018 and then COVID-19 hit.

Selling a travel and gastronomy series in the middle of a global pandemic with sanctioned travel restrictions and fears about sharing food and dining at restaurants was painful. I thought that the nature of the show would be ideal for days that we were all sheltering in place and give viewers a show that offered an escape from reality.

Opinions about my theory were mixed – some content buyers and programming directors thought the show would serve a palate cleanser, including a Cooking Channel executive who was initially excited about the show and pitched it to his boss, then came back with the news that the channel was only buying competition shows.

Anyway, thanks to a new distribution partner the show is available for your viewing pleasure. Take a look and please submit a review. Happy watching.
